About AMAP

Their only habitat, the Atlantic rainforest on the Brazilian cocoa coast, has now been reduced to a minimum – more than 90 percent has already been destroyed. Through land acquisition, reforestation, sustainable-ecological cacao cultivation and protected area designation, AMAP promotes the conservation and expansion of the already highly fragmented habitat of the Mata Atlântica for people and nature. The starting point of the activities in the action area and the headquarters of AMAP Brazil is the Fazenda Bom Pastor not far from the Almada River.
